Schumacher | Kata Sisal

Kata Sisal is an abstract interpretation of a Tibetan tiger pattern, the motifs handprinted onto a sisal ground so the texture of the grasscloth becomes part of the design. The pattern is mid-scale and all-over, with tonal variations that give it an aged, layered quality, the irregularities inherent to the material and the printing process contributing to its character.

Handprinted in the United States, it is 88 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 105 centimetres, sold by the metre from rolls of 3.656 metres. It suits walls and should be vacuumed only with a soft brush. The design is also available as a fabric.
