Schumacher | Kaya Hand Woven Brocade

Kaya Hand Woven Brocade is a panel cloth woven and embroidered by hand on a backstrap loom by Maya women in Guatemala. The geometric pattern, worked in cotton, carries the variations inherent in handwork—slight shifts in size, colour and motif are part of each piece's character. The vertical repeat is 18 centimetres, the horizontal 48 centimetres, which is also the full width of the panel.

Made entirely of cotton, it is recommended for dry cleaning and suits upholstery and cushions. Because each panel is woven individually, no two are identical. The cloth is available in two colourways.
