Kemscott is a tree-of-life print on linen, its motifs and colours deliberately softened to suggest a cloth that has been in a room for decades rather than weeks. The design is drawn from a 1920s block-printed document, and the translation retains the fanciful, hand-drawn quality of the original.
Printed in Thailand on 100% linen, it is 132 centimetres wide with an 82-centimetre vertical repeat and a 66-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The linen ground and the scale of the pattern suit curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and the design is offered in several colourways.
