Schumacher | King Épinglé

King Épinglé features playing-card motifs rendered in a dense cotton loop construction, the pattern medium in scale with a 39-centimetre vertical repeat and 23 horizontal. The épinglé technique—uncut loops—gives the cloth pronounced texture and durability, the surface reading as both playful and substantial.

Woven in Belgium from 90 per cent cotton with polyester, it is 136 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The construction makes it well suited to upholstery and cushions where frequent use is expected, the looped pile offering resilience and a tactile, three-dimensional surface.
