Schumacher | Kiribati Ikat Print

Kiribati Ikat Print takes the blurred, dye-resist character of traditional ikat and scales it up, combining paisley forms with geometric shapes in a loose, painterly arrangement. The print has an exotic, slightly nomadic feel, and the linen ground gives it a soft, supple hand. The vertical repeat is 88 centimetres, the horizontal 46, so the pattern reads best on larger pieces—curtains, upholstery, wide cushions—where the overscale motifs can be seen whole.

Printed in the United Kingdom on 100 per cent linen, the cloth is 137 centimetres wide. It is suitable for curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and should be dry-cleaned. The design is part of the Ottoman Chic collection and is available in several colourways.
