Kumar Silk Matka is a plain raw silk woven with a satin construction, the surface catching light unevenly across the cloth. The silk is unprocessed, so natural variation in the yarn is visible and part of the fabric's character. It reads as a quiet, textured ground rather than a high shine.

Woven in India from 100% raw silk, it is 137 centimetres wide with no repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The weight and construction suit cushions and upholstery, where the silk's texture and the way it takes light become part of the piece.
