Kyoto Trellis is a cut velvet that layers a trellis motif over a striated ground, the pile catching light differently across the pattern so the geometry appears to shift and recede. The design takes its cue from faded 16th-century kimonos, translating that sense of depth and patina into a contemporary upholstery cloth.
Woven in Belgium, chiefly of viscose with cotton and polyester, it is 136 centimetres wide with a 34-centimetre vertical repeat and a 51-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The weight and construction suit upholstery and cushions, and the design is available in several colourways.
