Lafayette Botanical draws on a late eighteenth-century French chintz, its flowers and pineapples reflecting the European fascination with motifs discovered along Asian trade routes. The design is mid-scale and allover, the kind of floral that furnishes a room with pattern without overwhelming it, and works equally well on upholstery, curtains and cushions.
Printed in the United Kingdom on 100 per cent linen, it is 137 centimetres wide with a 26-centimetre vertical repeat and a 34-centimetre horizontal. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth is suitable for curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is also available as a wallpaper in several colourways.
