Le Moderne Cut Velvet, designed by Johnson Hartig of Libertine, sets a geometric floral motif into cut and loop pile, the contrast between the two giving the pattern dimension and a shifting surface as light moves across it. The Art Deco echo in the design is clear but not literal, and the dense pile makes the cloth substantial enough for heavy use.
Woven in Italy from cotton, polyester and viscose, it carries a 23-centimetre repeat in both directions. It is available in several colourways and suits upholstery and cushions.
