Leonidis Stripe draws on ancient frescoes discovered in a French villa, translating their ogee motif into a vertical stripe printed on a mottled ground. The medium scale and hand-painted character give the pattern depth and movement, so it reads as both historical and fresh.
Made in the United States, it is printed 137 centimetres wide with a 67-centimetre vertical repeat and a 34-centimetre horizontal repeat, sold by the metre from rolls over nine metres long. The surface is spongeable and suited to wallcovering in any room.
