Les Gazelles au Bois is an Art Deco design from 1927, created by Pierre Pozier, nephew of Frederic Schumacher. Leaping gazelles move through stylised foliage in a composition that captures the graphic elegance of the period, the pattern working at a generous scale that suits larger pieces of furniture and full-length curtains.
Woven in Italy from cotton and rayon viscose, it is 140 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 98 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 66 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. Available in three colourways, the cloth suits curtains, blinds, upholstery and cushions where the repeat can be seen whole.
