Schumacher | Limbourg Damask Velvet

Limbourg Damask Velvet translates a traditional floral damask into cut pile, the stylised blooms and fleur-de-lis motifs acquiring dimension and shadow as the velvet catches light. It is a mid-scale design with a formal bearing, the geometry of the repeat held in balance by the texture of the cloth.

Woven in Belgium from viscose and cotton, it is 135 centimetres wide with a 45-centimetre vertical repeat and 34-centimetre horizontal. Dry cleaning is recommended. The fabric suits cushions and upholstery, where the pile's depth and the damask's structure combine to give weight and presence.
