Linen Gesso layers an open-weave linen over a coloured, glossed ground, then applies gesso so the surface reads as both textile and plaster, texture and tone held in balance. The linen's natural irregularity softens the ground beneath, and the gesso gives a matte, chalky finish that absorbs rather than reflects light.
Made in Korea, it is 91 centimetres wide and sold by the roll of 3.656 metres. It requires only vacuuming to keep clean, and the range of nine colourways allows it to sit quietly behind furniture or anchor a room in its own right, suited to studies, bedrooms or any space where calm is valued.
