Schumacher | Lola Embroidery

Lola Embroidery is a hand-guided embroidered floral on a heavy linen ground, the pattern continuous and allover with a loose, gestural quality. The design reads as texture as much as pattern, the stitching adding dimension and a quietly tactile character to the cloth.

Embroidered in India on pure linen, it is 130 centimetres wide with a 61-centimetre vertical repeat and 43-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits upholstery, curtains, blinds and cushions, where the embroidery's texture and weight can be appreciated and the medium-scale pattern seen in full.
