Lompret Herringbone Sheer is a linen voile woven with a fine herringbone that reads as texture rather than geometry, the pattern subtle enough to let light through while giving the cloth a quiet directional grain. The cloth is railroaded—woven so the length runs selvage to selvage—which means it can be made up in long horizontal runs without seams interrupting the flow.
It is woven in Turkey from 100 per cent linen and comes 305 centimetres wide, with a 4-centimetre vertical repeat and 1-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. Natural variation in the yarn is part of the cloth's character. It suits curtains and blinds where a sheer or semi-sheer is wanted, and the wide, railroaded width makes it particularly useful for unbroken expanses across tall windows or glazed walls.
