Schumacher | Luciano Silk Damask

Luciano Silk Damask is a satin-ground jacquard with a traditional damask motif woven in contrasting lustre. The pattern is large in scale—90 centimetres vertically, 65 horizontally—so it needs space to be seen whole, and the interplay of matte and sheen gives the cloth a quiet opulence that shifts with the light. The weave combines silk, cotton and viscose for body and drape.

Woven in Italy, it is 27 per cent silk, 24 per cent cotton and 49 per cent viscose, 130 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery where the large repeat can be displayed to advantage, particularly on full-length drops or larger upholstered pieces.
