Luminaries is a collaboration between Backdrop and artist Xavier Donnelly, depicting a cloudscape enlivened by whimsical stars and celestial objects. Based on original artwork, the design has soft tonal variations and the textural look of a hand-painted fresco, its stylised hand giving walls an imaginative, dreamlike quality. It works on ceilings, accent walls or wrapped around entire rooms.
Made in the United States, it is 69 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 91 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 69 centimetres, sold by the metre in 9.14-metre rolls. The surface is spongeable. It is suitable for wallcovering.
