Schumacher | Lunar Hand Woven Brocade

Lunar Hand Woven Brocade is made by Maya women weavers in Guatemala on a backstrap loom, each panel handwoven and embroidered to order. The cloth is pure cotton with a geometric pattern worked in relief, the vertical repeat 20 centimetres and the horizontal 17 centimetres. Because each piece is made individually, there will be slight variations in size, pattern and colour, part of the cloth's particular character.

The panels are 48 centimetres wide and suit cushions and upholstery where a narrow width can be used to effect—chair seats, bolsters, borders. Dry cleaning is recommended.
