Maharajah Crewel Embroidery takes its abstract botanical forms from traditional Indian textile motifs, worked in dense hand-guided wool embroidery that gives the cloth pronounced texture and dimension. The design is full-coverage and large in scale, with a vertical repeat of 82 centimetres and a horizontal of 62, so it reads boldly across upholstered pieces.
Made in India, the embroidery is worked in wool on a cotton ground, the cloth 127 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. It is offered in three colourways and suits upholstery, cushions, curtains and blinds where a richly worked surface is appropriate.
