Schumacher | Maharajah Silk Velvet

Maharajah Silk Velvet is woven from space-dyed yarns so that the pile shifts in tone along its length, creating a strié effect that catches and releases light as the colour drifts. The result is a velvet with depth and movement, the surface never quite uniform. Subtle variations are intrinsic to the cloth.

Woven in Italy from cotton and silk, it is 133 centimetres wide and dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery where a quietly changeable surface is wanted.
