Malaya Hand-Block Print is a dense allover floral at small scale, drawn from traditional Indian textiles and printed by hand onto a natural ground. The block-printing process leaves subtle variations across the surface, each length acquiring its own character. At seven centimetres vertical and eight horizontal, the repeat reads as a continuous field rather than an obvious grid.
It is block-printed by hand in India on a cotton-linen cloth, 55 per cent linen and 45 per cent cotton, 135 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The fabric suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is also made as a wallpaper. It is offered in several colourways.
