Malmaison Tape is a wide embroidered trim with a geometric chevron pattern worked in rayon on a cotton ground. The design has a bold, rhythmic character that brings graphic confidence to edges and borders, the embroidery standing proud of the base cloth to catch light and shadow.
Made in India, it is 90 per cent cotton with 10 per cent rayon embroidery, 15 centimetres wide with a 10-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits the leading edges of curtains, the borders of cushions and the skirts or arms of upholstered furniture, where its width and pattern can be seen to full effect.
