Manos, designed by Charlap Hyman & Herrero with Pilar Almon, is a surrealist composition of disembodied hands floating across the wall, each hand delicately posed and derived from original painted art. The large-scale repeat—over a metre in both directions—gives the design a mural-like quality, the hands appearing as individual studies rather than a tightly repeating pattern, so the paper reads as art installation as much as decoration.
It is printed in the United States, 137 centimetres wide, with a vertical repeat of 110 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 132 centimetres. Sold by the metre, each roll runs to 9.14 metres. It is a wallcovering, spongeable for cleaning, and is available in two colourways.
