Mariga is a large-scale plaid woven with a presence that borrows from tailoring rather than country-house tradition. The repeat is 18 centimetres square, so the check reads boldly across upholstery and cushions, and the cloth works as a foil to floral prints where a structured counterpoint is needed.
Woven in Italy, it is composed chiefly of viscose and cotton with a small proportion of linen, and is 145 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits upholstery and cushions, and is available in four colourways.
