Marine Toile is a hand-engraved rendering of a rare nineteenth-century document, printed on cotton with the narrative detail and pictorial ambition that define the toile tradition. The scale is generous—the vertical repeat runs to 191 centimetres—so the scenes unfold across large expanses of fabric with room to read the composition whole.
It is printed in Switzerland on 100 per cent cotton, 135 centimetres wide, with a vertical repeat of 191 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 97 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, particularly where the full repeat can be displayed.
