Markova Stripe is a multi-colour woven stripe with an elaborate structure, the bands detailed and varied but held within a clear vertical rhythm. The scale is large enough to read across a room but not so large that it overwhelms smaller pieces, and the weave gives the cloth body and substance.
Woven in India from cotton with viscose, it is 136 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 10 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 34 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The weight and durability suit upholstery—sofas, armchairs, ottomans—as well as cushions, where the stripe's detail can be appreciated. It is available in three colourways.
