Ming Fret Velvet translates a traditional Chinese fretwork motif into cut velvet, the raised pile forming a maze-like geometric pattern that contrasts against a flat, neutral ground. The pile catches light differently depending on the angle, so the pattern shifts as you move around it, and the 10-centimetre repeat gives the design a measured, architectural presence.
Woven in the United States from 54 per cent cotton and 46 per cent viscose, it is 127 centimetres wide and should be dry cleaned. It suits cushions and upholstery, and is offered in seven colourways.
