Mireille Velvet Tape sets small velvet diamonds into a woven grid, the pile catching light differently from the ground so the lattice shifts as you move past it. London-based textile designer Victoria Bain drew on the carved stone screens of Mughal architecture, translating that rhythm and layering into a trim that reads as both structure and ornament.
Made in China from viscose and polyester, it is 9 centimetres wide with a 3-centimetre horizontal repeat. Wipeable. It works as edging on curtains, cushions and upholstery, and is available in four colourways.
