Modern Botanical Embroidery takes its cue from mid-twentieth-century Scandinavian design, translating flora and fauna into a bold, outscale composition worked in hand-guided machine embroidery on a heavy linen ground. The stitching brings texture and relief to the surface, and the pattern reads with vivid, uninhibited colour across its generous repeat.

Made in India from linen and acrylic, the cloth is 129 centimetres wide with an 80-centimetre vertical repeat and a 129-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The scale and weight suit upholstery—chairs, ottomans, headboards—and cushions, and the design can be applied to walls where a strong botanical statement is wanted.
