Mojave Ikat Stripe sets bands of ikat—woven with the characteristic blurred edges of resist-dyed warp—against a plain linen-jute ground. The artisanal weaving technique means subtle variations run through each length, so no two pieces are identical, and the stripe has an irregular, handmade quality that softens its geometry.
Woven in India from linen and jute, the cloth is 136 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of eleven centimetres and a horizontal of twenty-three. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, Roman blinds, upholstery and cushions, and the linen-jute blend brings a natural, slightly coarse handle to the cloth.
