Monte Carlo Sisal is a random polka-dot pattern inspired by the pips on stacked dice, screen-printed by hand onto natural sisal. The design, created in Backdrop's Los Angeles studio, has the depth and nuance of an ink-rolled print, and at this scale the dots become a graphic mural rather than decoration. The sisal ground gives texture and irregularity, so the pattern reads as both playful and grounded.
Made in the United States, each panel is 86 centimetres wide and 3.656 metres long, with a vertical repeat of 365 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 172 centimetres. The two-panel set suits a focal wall where the full mural effect can be appreciated. Vacuum clean only. It is available in four colourways.
