Schumacher | Moon Phase Velvet

Moon Phase Velvet charts the lunar cycle in a mid-scale pattern formed from épinglé loops, cut pile and flat ground weave, the different surface treatments catching light in distinct ways. Created with architect Adam Charlap Hyman and artist Pilar Almon, the design is monochromatic within each colourway, so the texture does the work rather than contrast.

Woven in Belgium from cotton with polyester, it is 137 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 63 centimetres and horizontal of 68. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits upholstery and cushions, where the play of pile and loop can be appreciated at close range.
