Schumacher | Nadia Matelassé

Nadia Matelassé is a woven cloth with a raised, quilted surface, its geometric pattern drawn from aboriginal art and given dimension through the matelassé technique. The weave creates a textured relief that catches light and shadow, so the pattern shifts as you move around the room.

Woven in Italy from pure cotton, it is 133 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 62 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 67 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The weight and texture of the matelassé weave suit upholstery and cushions where the relief can be seen and felt.
