Schumacher | Nadira Embroidery

Nadira Embroidery takes its cue from Moroccan needlework, a cross-stitch design worked in hand-dyed yarns on a cotton-linen ground. The yarns create a strié effect, so the colour shifts subtly across the surface, and the embroidery itself has a tactile, handmade quality that gives the cloth dimension. The design is mid-scale and reads as a textured stripe with an ombré character.

It is made in India from 45% linen, 35% cotton and 20% polyester, 135 centimetres wide, with a vertical repeat of 40 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 67 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The weight and construction suit upholstery and cushions, and it is equally at home on curtains or blinds.
