Schumacher | Nica Hand Woven Brocade

Nica Hand Woven Brocade is a 99-centimetre-long panel woven and embroidered by hand on a backstrap loom by Maya women in Guatemala. The geometric and chevron motifs carry the slight variations inherent in a textile made this way, each piece a record of its own making.

Woven entirely of cotton, it measures 48 centimetres wide with a 41-centimetre vertical repeat and a 48-centimetre horizontal repeat. Made in Guatemala, it is recommended for dry cleaning and suits cushions and upholstery where its singular character can be appreciated.
