Schumacher | Night at the Opera

Night at the Opera is a large-scale stripe built from hand-painted layers of gesso, acrylic and gouache, its surface dense with texture and pattern. The design has a decadent, maximalist quality, its bold repeat and rich detail making it a deliberate focal point rather than a backdrop.

Printed in the United States, it is 69 centimetres wide with a 103-centimetre vertical repeat and a 69-centimetre horizontal repeat, sold by the metre from rolls just over nine metres long. It is spongeable and suited to walls where drama and a degree of visual weight are wanted.
