Schumacher | Ocular Hand Woven Brocade

Ocular Hand Woven Brocade is a panel cloth woven and embroidered by hand on a backstrap loom by Maya women weavers in Guatemala, so each piece is singular and variations in size, pattern and colour are inherent to the making. The brocade carries a geometric pattern with repeats of twenty centimetres vertically and seventeen horizontally, and each panel measures approximately 48 centimetres wide.

Woven from pure cotton, the cloth is made in Guatemala and dry cleaning is recommended. Its character and scale suit cushions and smaller upholstered pieces where the handwork can be appreciated, and it is offered in two colourways.
