Schumacher | Ode Hand Block

Ode Hand Block is a graphic pattern of boomboxes, drawn by designer Hadiya Williams as a nod to 1980s iconography and printed by hand onto linen. The hand-block process preserves the character of the original sketches, with slight variations in ink and registration that give each length an individual quality. The repeat is medium in scale—43 centimetres vertically, 34 horizontally—so the motif reads clearly without overwhelming smaller pieces.

Made in India from pure linen, the cloth is 137 centimetres wide and part of the Hadiya Williams collection. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and dry cleaning is recommended. The design is available in two colourways.
