Ovington Sisal prints an ikat pattern onto a textured sisal ground, the combination giving the design both the graphic energy of ikat and the material depth of a natural fibre. The pattern reads as modern rather than folkloric, the repeat scaled to sit comfortably on a wall without becoming busy. The sisal's texture softens the printed motif, so the ikat feels less insistent and more integrated into the room.
Made in the United States, it is 85 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 31 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 85 centimetres, sold by the metre from rolls of 3.656 metres. It is vacuum-cleaned only, using a soft brush. Available in several colourways, it suits feature walls, hallways or bedrooms where pattern is wanted without losing the warmth of a natural material.
