Palermo Mohair Velvet is a plain velvet woven from mohair and cotton, the pile giving a soft, light-reflective surface that shifts subtly with the direction of the nap. The mohair lends the cloth a particular lustre and resilience, and the weave is clean and unfussy.
It is woven in the Netherlands, 140 centimetres wide, from 51 per cent mohair and 49 per cent cotton. Dry cleaning is recommended. The fabric suits upholstery and cushions, and is available in a wide palette of colourways. The mohair content gives it natural durability and a characteristic depth of colour.
