Paley Quilted Velvet is a cut velvet worked into a small-scale chevron, the quilted surface catching and scattering light so the zigzag appears to move as you pass it. The geometry is crisp but the hand is soft, and the compact repeat—four centimetres vertically, three horizontally—reads as texture rather than pattern at any distance, lending subtle animation to upholstered furniture without competing for attention.
Woven in Italy from cotton, polyester and polypropylene, the cloth is 140 centimetres wide and suited to cushions and upholstery in domestic settings. It is made by Schumacher and requires dry cleaning.
