Palmer is a woven stripe that draws its interest from visible floats in the weave, creating a textured, dimensional surface rather than a flat graphic line. The stripe runs vertically with a modest repeat, so the rhythm is regular without being insistent, and the cotton cloth has enough body to hold its form in use.
It is woven in India from pure cotton, 137 centimetres wide, with a vertical repeat of 20 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 6 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth is sturdy enough for upholstery—sofas, chairs and ottomans—and equally suited to curtains, blinds and cushions. It is available in several colourways.
