Schumacher | Palomar Hand Woven Brocade

Palomar Hand Woven Brocade is a 99-centimetre-long panel handwoven and embroidered on a backstrap loom by Maya women weavers in Guatemala. Each piece is singular, with slight variations in size, pattern and colour inherent to the hand process. The brocade is worked in cotton with a geometric repeat of 50 by 48 centimetres, the embroidery adding texture and depth to the woven ground.

Made in Guatemala from 100 per cent cotton, the panel is 48 centimetres wide and dry cleaning is recommended. It suits cushions and upholstery, where the hand-worked detail and cultural provenance can be seen and appreciated. The design comes in two colourways.
