Persian Lancers is a hand-block-printed design, worked with the same 112 blocks used to produce the pattern in the 1910s. The result is a fanciful botanical composition with the irregularities and depth of colour that come only from hand printing, each length a record of the printer's hand and the wood's grain.
Printed in the United Kingdom on 100% linen, the cloth is 124 centimetres wide with a 76-centimetre vertical repeat and a 32-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, upholstery and cushions, and the pattern's enduring appeal has kept it in continuous production for over a century. Four colourways are available.
