Pineapples Chintz takes its motif from a rare eighteenth-century Indian document, placing the fruit—a longstanding symbol of hospitality—against a solid ground so the delicate forms stand clear and legible. The pattern has the directness of a historical document without feeling overly formal, and the 46-centimetre vertical repeat gives each pineapple room to register.
Printed in the United Kingdom on 100% linen, the cloth is 137 centimetres wide with a 69-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is also rated for outdoor use. The design is available as a wallcovering and comes in four colourways.
