Plato Tape is a neoclassical Greek key design satin-stitched onto linen tape, created by Mary McDonald. The geometric motif is crisp and architectural, the satin stitch giving it a slight sheen against the matte linen ground. At ten centimetres wide, with a twenty-centimetre vertical repeat and twelve-centimetre horizontal repeat, it reads as a bold, graphic border.
Made in India from linen with polyester embroidery, the tape has the weight and body of natural cloth. It suits curtains, cushions and upholstery, where it can edge panels or define seams. Dry clean.
