Schumacher | Pondicherry

Pondicherry is a printed and woven floral with a generous repeat that reads as classical and assured. The pattern has a layered, botanical character, and the scale—over 60 centimetres in both directions—means it suits larger pieces and full-length curtains where the design can be seen whole. The cloth has the weight and substance to drape well and hold its shape.

Printed and woven in France from 100 per cent cotton, it is 137 centimetres wide with a 62-centimetre vertical repeat and a 69-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, where the generosity of the repeat and the quality of the weave can be properly appreciated.
