Schumacher | Pont Royal Damask

Pont Royal Damask is a large-scale damask woven in the classical manner, the pattern emerging through the interplay of warp and weft rather than applied colour, so it shifts in tone as light moves across the cloth. The repeat is generous—ninety-two centimetres vertically—and the design has the formality and weight of traditional European damask without feeling overly ornate.

Woven in France from linen and cotton, it is 137 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of ninety-two centimetres and a horizontal of seventy. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, Roman blinds, upholstery and cushions, and the linen-cotton blend gives the cloth a natural, slightly crisp hand.
