Port Charl Chen Damask builds its pattern from chenille weft yarn woven against a strié warp, so the traditional damask motif acquires a soft, tactile surface and a faintly uneven, artisanal character. The interplay of pile and ground gives the cloth a quiet depth, the pattern emerging through texture as much as tone. The vertical repeat is 79 centimetres, the horizontal 69 centimetres.
Woven in France entirely from cotton, it is 137 centimetres wide and suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. Dry cleaning is recommended. The design is offered in several colourways.
