Schumacher | Promenade 4 Panel Set

Promenade 4-Panel Set depicts the Montgolfier brothers' 1783 hot-air balloon flight over Paris: the balloons aloft, classical buildings and parkland below, spectators gathered in wonder. Designer Carl D'Aquino drew on a circa-1825 wallpaper screen, and Schumacher's studio preserved the fine detail and hand of the original woodblock print. The result is a panorama nearly five metres high and five and a half metres across, monumental in scale and rich in incident.

Printed in the United States, each panel is 137 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 488 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 549 centimetres, sold by the panel from rolls just under 4.9 metres long. It is spongeable and suited to wallcovering in three colourways.
